Mora Hockey

The mission of Mora Area Youth Recreation Association Hockey is to provide the youth of the Mora area, the opportunity to have fun while developing good sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual and team hockey skills.

 The Mora Area Hockey Association will be receiving 25 sets of starter hockey equipment as part of the 2012 Gear Up Minnesota! starter equipment grant program.   

The Mora area youth hockey association received 25 sets of starter hockey equipment as part of the Gear Up Minnesota! equipment grant program. The Gear Up Minnesota! program grants sets of starter hockey equipment to deserving community hockey associations through an application process each spring. The goal of the program is to continue to grow the game at the grassroots level by making entry into hockey as affordable as possible.  Once again this year, Total Hockey and the Minnesota Wild Foundation are the signature supporters of Gear Up Minnesota!. West Bend Insurance, Subway, and Northwest Design also made significant contributions to the program. Due to this tremendous generosity, the 2012 Gear Up Minnesota! equipment grant program is granting a total of 670 sets of starter equipment for the 2012-13 season!  

*1-2 people to be the Home tournament coordinators-responible for scheduling home tournaments, finding teams and organizing. 

*1 person for the Fundraising Coordinator-organize fundraisers, look for new fundraising opportunities

*Grant/opportunity coordinator-look for available grants and submit.

MAYRA Hockey Meeting

  *The hockey committee meetings will be held the second Sunday of each month instead of the 3rd Sunday.

MAYRA Board Meeting
Sunday June 17, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. Mora Civic Center  
  *June and July MAYRA meetings will be on Sunday's June 17th and July 15th due to summer sports.
